Starline’s Remote Plug-in Actuator (RPA) is the first-of-its-kind technology designed for enhanced levels of flexibility and safety in mission-critical environments, allowing hands-free plug engagement from outside the incident energy area.
As power densities increase and infrastructure changes create higher incident energies, the need for operator safety has never been greater.
Designed to eliminate downtime, the RPA is perfect for applications with high available incident energy or environments that would otherwise require scheduled power shutdowns to add or relocate circuits for new equipment.
Enhanced Safety
The RPA allows operators to remotely engage busway plug-in units while remaining outside of any potential incident energy area, enhancing safety for those working in critical spaces. Operators can engage plug-in units at distances of up to 30 feet.
Secure Connectivity
The RPA system consists of a remote controller and actuator tool, which can be paired via secure Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or connected through a fiber optic cable when wireless connectivity is not possible.
